Bournemouth Pier

Bournemouth Pier stands proud in the bay and the Pier Theatre has been attracting large audiences for many years. At the end of the pier you will find a childrens mini fun fair and great views across to Old Harry on the Purbeck Isles. You can also relax and watch the many Surfers who congregate around the Pier to catch the best waves in the bay or maybe you would rather watch the fishermen who fish from the lower jetty on the pier.   During the summer months the facilities are enjoyed by the many holiday makers who visit Bournemouth including the cafe at the far end or the cafe bar situated above the amusements. The bar balcony is a favorite place to watch the friday night fireworks which are held at 10pm during the school holidays. If you're visiting Bournemouth then why not follow the Gardens down to the Pier and enjoy an ice
cream from one of the many Vendors .

Two of my favorite Lions from last years Pride of Bournemouth event . To the right this is" Bellboy " he was found greeting people to the Highcliffe hotel on the west cliff .










This is " Ted "  who could be found hanging out at Boscombe Pier , no doubt waiting for the perfect wave .

Living in Bournemouth

The Russell Cotes Museum and Gardens are well worth a visit and as one of the oldest buildings in Bournemouth has commanding views over the Bay from its prominent position on the east cliff next to the Royal Bath Hotel.

Hello and welcome to my Bournemouth as seen through my eyes and my camera .  I have lived in Bournemouth since 2002 but was born in Boscombe the adjoining town and have lived in the immediate area all my 48 years . So i think i am well qualified to comment on the joys of living in the Bournemouth area.


Bournemouth Square is the central hub and there always seems to be something going on there ,from friends meeting for a coffee to christmas markets ,street entertainers and food fairs, throughout the year there are a diverse number of attractions to be found here.















The Upper and Lower gardens can always provide a quiet restbite from the hustle and bustle of a busy days shopping and they never cease to amaze in there beauty .
